My daughter who is a trained chef and who grows her vegetable, etc... and pressure cans the same went to a local Aldi store and bought 30 pineapples to can. At the store with her kids in tow she picked out 30 pineapples out of what she estimated was a display of at least 300. She got to the checkout counter where the manager immediately began to question her as to why she needed so many pineapples and that other people may not get any and being very negative in general.
She told him she saw no limit on what could be purchased or any indication of limits on what could bought; He grudging let her complete the purchase and she took them home. Since she was a member of a canning group on facebook she got on their and ask about anybody had any issues with buying fruit in bulk? The trolls apparently out in full force as she was accused of stealing food out of the mouths of kids, other people wouldn't get any because they would be all gone, how dare she can pineapples and one guy called her the "C" word, they weren't any on sale in their town/city and to top it off the banned her from the site and deleted the thread.
Lots of whining, crying, bitching, etc.. People have lost sight of the big picture and its' getting worse.
But, over all, pretty crazy over a piece of fruit.
